Surrey Place Apartments is in East Kitchener, situated on the edge of the Stanley Park Conservation Area in the city’s Rosemount neighbourhood. With a population of over 233,000 people, based on Canada’s 2016 Census, Kitchener is located 105 km from Toronto and is connected to much of southwestern Ontario, including Toronto, via public transit through GO Transit and Via Rail.

Kitchener has an extensive and safe community trail system. The trails, which are controlled and run by the city, are hundreds of kilometers in length. Due to Kitchener’s close proximity to the Grand River, several community trails and paths border the river’s shores which are suitable for walking, jogging, cycling and even bird-watching throughout the year. This convenient access to the Grand River has drawn nature-seeking tourists to the city. Kitchener also has two state-of-the-art 18-hole municipal golf courses, Rockway and Doon Valley. The Aud is the city’s premier sports and entertainment venue.
The city is supported by four different public school boards – Waterloo Region District School Board, Waterloo Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud, and Conseil scolaire de district du Centre-Sud-Ouest.
It is easy to see why Kitchener residents enjoy this city with its combination of cosmopolitan comforts and country flare spiced up with unique festivities, numerous amenities and a distinct culture.
